Doing what’s the right vs what’s practical is always in tension, one requires — sometimes — a bit more thinking or can make you feel uncomfortable; but once done you realise it wasn’t as bad as you thought not matter how hard it was, and pavés the path for the next one up.
Doing the dishes
Doing the dishes for me means that when I wake up in the morning I start on a clean sheet. I wake up to order. It lets my brain feel like a fresh start.
Making time to read (and other things)
Making time to read is my lead domino. If I am reading it means everything’s else is in balance.
